I always disagree that ads doesn't sell products, or no people read them.
Ad is an effective way to sell products and people do notice them. Otherwise Advertising would disappear long time ago. But you do need to have good products to sell.

Online ad budgets do increase a lot. But much of the increases come from those .com companies. When .com stocks
go down, those ad fall down big time. In fact, these are happening.

Over time, ad budgets will still go up. But at a slower
pace.

hey mike, holding up well? i got a rude awaking this morning. Fidelity jacked up their margin requirement on me which naturally triggered a juicy house call. Thought it was some kind of bad joke. oh well, its only money, yea right!!! hopefully you are in better shape...take care,john
