In hind sight, the mistake is always obvious<G> Glenn, Sometimes something else is at work. For example, an analyst and the mgmt might not get along very well and there might be some kind of grudge that manifests itself in the research taking an overly critical stance or the mgmt limiting access. The threat of legal action by the company could result in the brokerage firm spending a lot more time screening the research before it goes out the door, especially if there is any comment that could be construed as inflammatory.
