Well, law, at least we've found a minor point of agreement; our Republican Congress ain't worth spit insofar as being defenders of the Constitution. From there, it looks like our disagreements begin. I'm unhappy with them because they don't stand up for what's right and keep on comin', and you're dissatisfied with them because they sometimes pretend they might stand up.

If you found my comments insulting, then I must have been close to the quick. Throughout your posts here, I've been impressed by your unwillingness to make any unfavorable comments WRT Cuba or Castro. Instead, you catagorically lump ALL the blame on the "family" and/or those nasty ol' Cuban exiles (most of whom I think are citizens, and who as a group are a relatively law-abiding bunch of people). I won't go too far out of my way to defend the Miami Cubans because I really can only surmise their motivations. But, comparing the Miami "riots" with things that happened in other cities (notably Seattle and LA), and the general respect for private property they displayed, I'm less opposed to them than you seem to be.

OTOH, this administration brings shame on the Nation on an international stage repeatedly, and cannot be trusted to do anything honestly. Clinton and Cronies desperately want to show Cuba that it's a welcome member of their chamber of commerce, right there with North Korea and China. You bet Castro is going to play it to the hilt, and show his people that he got the USA to grovel at his feet. And, since he can now proudly show the SWAT grab picture and prove how repressive the USA is to even little kids, when he gets the kid back, he's a winner all around, and Clinton will brag about how he brought the two countries together.

So, go ahead and call me a Right Wing Zealot and complain that I'm making personal attacks on you. But, I'd prefer that you step back from your emotional position and try to look at the situation more objectively and in a broader context than just your dislike for Cuban Americans.
