Well, if I am an Intel executive tonight, feeling mightily good about both the analysts meeting and the MSFT/INTC mtg. in New Orleans, I realize I better make sure I can deliver on these promises I made. Hmmmmm. Willy 1.4 Gig. before end of year. Let's see....to make this launch successful I need more Rambus available. Price down wouldn't hurt either. Let's see....how much profit did I make last year? How many 0000000s was that. Well, let's open the checkbook and then make a few calls to Samsung, Hyundai, Toshiba, Hitachi (oops, let's not call them) ..oh, and Micron. Yeah, how much MORE will I have to pay Micron to get those Rambus samples cleaned up and production underway? Well, I can afford it.

Victor,

I have never been on the SI AMD thread even to lurk. But i sure hope there isn't a cadre of rmbs bulls over there spending their every waking minute trying to poke techncial shots at AMD, like you folks do here.

Until a few weeks ago, the noise level from Intel folks was pretty high on the AMD thread. For some reason it seems to have tailed off.

Victor, until Rambus has a better story than "Intel likes us", you can expect to be challenged.
