Steven, I haven't really studied the aims, and ideas, toward the governing of the nation of the Libertarians but, have had a few discussions with some of them. Of course, when one is trying to sell his ideas, he puts the best possible spin on them.

Liberals and conservatives getting together and agreeing on vital issues, is about as likely as bringing the north and south poles together. Your're right. It ain't gonna happen.

Humor is a good ingredient in any recipe but, it is sometimes hard to add to the mix when certain issues are so important to our future as a nation. When I know that another wants to be civil in discussion, I do everything I can to also be civil but, if someone wants to get nasty, I can play that role too. I'm not proud of that. It's just the way I am. ~H~

all the liberals in America admit to themselves that there are some
smart people with reasonable ideas on the conservative side

I really hope there are, but from the conservatives who post on this thread I am not convinced at all. Every conservative post (well, almost every one) is full of unsupported insults, lies, and exaggerations. Just one intelligent post, that's all I ask .... Fat chance!
