Carl, you may be right and Gelsinger promotion was a demotion, but the market surely did not think that was a negative for RMBS, RMBS followed this news with a tremendous white marubozo (well, almost), breaking completely the downtrend and setting the stages for a test of the $280 area. The next few weeks are going to be quite interesting, IMHO. I would strongly recommend to my friendly bears to have some close stop losses, because this stock could see $600 by election day, as long as yesterday "marubozo" is not negated by some gravestone doji's.

I do not think that the probability of getting my GTC at $122 are now better than 10% (VBG).

Carl, <My interpretation of the management moves at Intel is that the main supporter of Rambus at the company, has been demoted.>

Then you are reaching big time. Intel's reorg is just another move to better focus on its four-pronged Internet strategy (clients, servers, networks, services). This has nothing to do with Rambus, and Intel is no less committed to Rambus than before.
