<I am in business and do quite well, thanks.> This does not seem to ring true. I mean this in the best possible way. IF you have ever run a business, you must know that any non-economic intervention is antithetical to the efficient running of that business. That is why the Rule of Law is so necessary to a free enterprise society. The owner of that business must know specifically what the rules are. He may skate right up to those rules, he may cut it razor thin, but the courts or the government cannot retroactively change the rules because the don't like the totality of a company that "comes close" on many different fronts. It is very easy for an intelligent governing body to change the rules it does not like for the future. The concept of "ex post facto" prevents even an intelligent government from changing the rules retroactively; and, the concept of "unconstitutional vagueness" requires that the rules be specific in the first place. These are not just terms to be thrown about at a cocktail party but they are necessary to insure that some government employee can't destroy a company, not matter how much you may personally dislike them, to gain the power of your vote, or your political contribution. Please tell us for our own edification, what your business is and what your position is in that business, in order that we might understand your position better. If you do not honestly respond, we have every right to believe that you run a software company that does the following: E. T. Technologies: "We here at E.T. are among the leading consultants in software technology. Our engineers, whose experience in the industry total well over three years. ET is the industry leader in porting Quatropro ($495) to O/S2 ($219), Lotus 123 ($495) thru the use of WordPerfect Task switcher ($495). At present, our system only runs thru IBM MicroChannel (FREE!) which of course requires an IBM XT P/S2 80286 for a mere additional $3,995. We are planning in the very near future to port the system to Sun Severs, but we are awaiting government approval, which we expect shortly after our check clears. Suggested retail price, $7,900 (without Sun Server), prices may vary. Are you starting to get the drift, here?
