hi Fez, Re: The new GlobalCenter Japan was scheduled to open in April. Has anyone heard if this is on schedule? It may be announced with earnings. Yeah, they did say it would be in operation in April and today is the last day in the United States. What day and time is it is Japan? From the SCHEDULE 14A Proxy filed April 24th, it does not appear that the Japan centre was operating at that time:The GlobalCenter group currently operates ten data centers strategically located near major business centers in northern and southern California; New York City; northern Virginia; London; and Melbourne. Six of these data centers have been commercially operational for more than 12 months and are currently operating at or near full capacity. In addition, it currently has in development 10 data centers in the United States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, nine of which it plans to open by the end of this year, bringing the total gross square footage of our data centers to over 1.3 million. ======================= Re: the IXNet merger was scheduled to be done in April. I couldn't find anything that says in April. All i could find is "in the second quarter of 2000." Original Press Release:globalcrossing.com The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2000, and is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. SSB report (this is worth reading):Message 12959188 Interesting recent IXNet and IPC news:ipc.com Again, since the merger is not completed, i don't think they can say much about it at all. ======================== Anyway, what kind of numbers do we expect for last quarter? i'm guessing: Revenue: $1.05 Billion EBITDA: $50 Million (or $325 million. Depends on what EBITDA means this week.) Earning Per Share: big loss. maybe -$0.42
