It's trading strong because of great report, it sells handsets. Why shouldn't it be doing well?

Arthur, you sound more inexperienced than I know you are NOK announced 88% increase in sales they reported improving margins NOK will bleed the last drop out of GSM even at the expense of its future growth prospects with CDMA they know CDMA is a part of its future, inevitably, inexorably the QCOM situation is one where they are biding time until the market is ready for true 3G products and services the QCOM model is a common denominator for 3G chipsets what you said is like preferring COMPAQ to Intel because the Pentium chip is delayed demo this week of 150kb wireless modem speeds Nokia will be lucky to have 1/3 that speed, and later than Q this August/Sept QCOM will demo 1.5mb wireless modem speeds Nokia will be lucky to max out with 600kb speed in 12 months can you say "broadband wireless"? what is fundamentally wrong with the QCOM story built atop this revolutionary advantage? the stock market almost always values stocks that have profit growth clearly immediately right infrontof your nose, even if that rev/earnings stream is in jeopardy 6-9 months later case in point: CISCO over Nortel the world conquest by QCOM might take 4-6 months longer than you originally anticipated / Jim
