The issue here is credibility of the B/M creator, not the results.
BTW, Do you still feel that clock speed and channel width are unrelated issues regarding bandwidth?

I remember the benchmark "scandal" Gene referred to, and he raises a good point in that if you publish the details of the tests, someone's going to try to jimmy the results. A fact of life. I suppose at least one way to police it is to say "if we catch you doing that, we will never, ever test/review/mention another one of your products again". But that would cause problems of its own (e.g. "we didn't mean to -- it was a rogue engineer who did it!").
