Ironically, the one thing that guarantees the government will not grab your land is if they find toxic waste on it. They will grab everything else you own but not the land until it is cleaned up.

Land is grabbed for an ever-increasing number of reasons. It used to be eminent domain was invoked when an obvious public good was served, a road, a school. Now, in many cities, including Minneapolis, property is being taken from one private group in order to give it to another (more favored) group of private developers.

Besides, private property includes much more than real estate. And there seems to be no upper limit on how much of a person's assets and earnings may be appropriated to pay for the grand social schemes of liberals.
