Surely we are at heavens 'gates', here , now. The image God gave Jacob about the angels descending and ascending from earth to heaven. Jacobs ladder. Right. Ladders rescue people. Ladders span walls. In effect they come tumbling down. Prisoners are set free with ladders. The harvest from those hard to reach top branches are gotten down with ladders. But that image is not totally correct. The original greek word comes from a "terrace or permanent embankment". Do you see the difference. We just don't rescue people temporarily. God puts a permanent terrace over the wall or fills in the deep trench that is insurmountable with a permanent embankment. When God moves it is permanent. He puts a permanent structure in place, not some portable ladder that can be moved at will. Praise His name . Forever..........In Christ..gregor
