It caches concentrating on storewidth not intelligent networking. <Akamai,ISLD,etc> Global bandwidth is increasing more than tenfold a year. Intelligent network routing cannot possibly keep up. Everytime they perfect their optimum route the bandwidth vendors will have moved way beyond them. Mirror Image does not have this problem which is precisely why Exodus and HP have made large investments and will deploy their technology. and of course<<<MI can cache dynamic info whereas akamai and the rest are only effective with "small numbers of objects" in great demand....they do relatively nothing for the vast majority of websites with thousands of objects under heavy demand....
