Doc: Yah, the war of attrition continues. I find it interesting how things kind'a sort'a "lollygag" around, and then WHAM, in spurts somebody tries to drag the bid down by what looks like an activated short run, only to have it met by an almost equal amount of buying. This happens on the downside after a period of sideways amble. And it happens to the upside when the buying tries to kick in.

Hence my deeming what we're seeing as a war of attrition. Both sides sitting firmly behind their respective front lines(one which appears to be around $15.25 or so), and only venturing out when the other side attempts an assault. Yup...it definitely has its war of attrition attributes.

As for the posting by Hilowsel(me under my only pseudonym), yep...I agree that the article entitled "Anatomy of a basher" certainly contained a great deal of food for thought. Unfortunately, as much as I agree with your "they don't seem to mind" comment one needs to recognize all is fair in war, love and most certainly in business and investing. As such you need to be cautious as there's lot'sa animals out there whose sole mission in life is to separate you from your cash/position by any means possible. This amoral attitude seems to have become all the more prevalent and easy given the increasingly "mouse click" ease of playing this video....uh....MARKET, game. Heh! The object now becomes not leaving any back doors(like too much margin, or inappropriate use of it given the status of the equity in question) through which they can get ya!

Now back to watching how todays battle ends...

Regards!

John~
