I think Greenspan will stick with the 1/4 pt increases. The effects of increases generally aren't noticeable for 5 or 6 months. The greater the sizes of the increases, the greater the likely-hood of overcorrecting.

It will be interesting, in retrospect, a few years from now, to see if the economy is less sensitive to interest rate increases now than it was 10 years ago.

Note the gap down Island Reversal on April 24th...

Island Reversals usually precede a change in trend... In other words, it looks like the trend is up... We may have to allow for some undecided movement because of the Friday, after the bell, MSFT breakup announcement... Otherwise, the technicals are in place for a move to the upside on the Nasdaq... The Biotechs were up over 9% on Friday... A good sign for the momentum stocks...
