uh, first thing comes to mind is to format them. but that would take a bazillion hours.

what about just bending the metal part so as to make the disk non-functional?

is your goal to make them unreadable or to dispose of them in an environmentally acceptable manner? you could heat 'em to partially warp them...

Donald,

I am not a tree hugger or a whale lover so I don't see a problem with trashing them.

I would delete any info with the 'puter. and slam them with a hammer, or simply break them in half, and trash them.

If the info is really sensitive, you could wait until it's cold and burn them in your fireplace.
