Al, Hey, I gotta be honest -- I don't know which you will see first between 3800 and 4400. Anyone else who is honest doesn't "know" that answer either. What do the TA types tell us?...they say that we aren't currently looking at a test of 3227, nor an early potential fall to 2900 (which could still occur later). Why? Because the Naz has now broken through the 3800 level successfully, and it is no longer an o/h resistance level; instead, it has become a support level.
So, the way to bet, if you believe in those TA chicken entrail readers, is that IF we get a market decline before the Naz reaches 4400, then there is LIKELY to be a strong support level around 3800. Is that useful? For me it is. And it was the basis for my buying stocks like crazy today, when I've been largely sitting in cash for quite a while.
Now, what are the odds that I will lose money thinking like that?... In the stock game, maybe pretty large -- I've never found a "sure thing" there anymore than I have in Las Vegas.
But I have learned how to bet....and over a period of years it seems to work reasonably well.
If you find anybody that "knows" more than that, please clue me in fast, too, Al. But I suspect anyone with better information will just proceed straight to huge wealth --without bothering to clue the rest of us in along the way.
The best of the entrail readers, imho, are E! and TA-Anon, and I haven't caught TA-Anon sober in a long time, so mostly I just check with E!, do a little checking around, and make my bets.
Hope I never left the impression that I "know" anything, Al! (but I'm willing to learn) <G>

Al:

I had my MU put order in but it didn't fill---needed to hit 143 or so.

I sold my IDTI puts at the close for a 30% one day gain. I went long a couple calls at 48, but am looking for 44-46 as a safe entry point.

Man, ISSI was the place to be, but I took my eye off it and missed; now +30.

What's your largest position now?
