MSFT - The Stock - a BUY - at this juncture imho:

Here are a few of the cerebrations:

1. Once or twice every year, MSFT gives a fantastic entry point to new investors - Right now at 70 - this is it! Most of the DOJ related uncertainty is gone now!

2. Exploding Windows2000 related revenues for the second half of the year!

3. Mr. Bill never lost anything in life "where it matters" :-) ... this time no different: Neither Elephants nor Donkies want to make the already difficult and complex software engineering process for US any tougher. Not much to gain from the "green engineering" point of view at this extreme-shortage point for engineers. If the overall humanity can gain, as a bottom line, from the mental design synergies of the complex engineering products, better for the environment ... less wastage of resources!

4. "Let the best, innovative products win" ... if MSFT has to go down, it should go down only based on its own mistakes in innovation. Regarding a-trust, let there be appropriate "financial" penalties ... which still harmful, but will not kill the "soul" of the corporate animal. We still have to remember, despite all the millionaires n all, there are some wonderfully bright and extremely hard working engineers out there toiling for MSFT day and night. Why to kill the small fishes also, in the hopes of straightening out a few large ones? (but by its very nature, smalls suffer the most under any scenario like this).

5. Big money looks for 4-5 year safety down the road. For MSFT, the stock, this is very favorable at this point of time - downside risk may be 5-7 points, but upside? - a potential double from these levels. Yep - big boys will be jumping all over MSFT now!

6. There is a room to grow for a lot of players in the software field now - progress so far is just the tip of the iceberg. Huh? - just change your perspective to 500 years from now, 200 years from now - for humans and the planet Earth! :-)

regards to all,
-/Sonny.
