MSFT CEO Gates understands better than he is aware:

"this ruling would not allow us to develop software in the same manner we have in the past"

exactly, that is why the ruling was made
what an idiot

"chilling effect on innovation in the high tech industry"

Bill, do you mean as in the internet browser sector?
I dont think so, my guess is 99.9% probability of the contrary

DoJ Klein sounded brilliant, deep, informed, and dedicated
he knew some aspects of the Windows/ Office relationships better than I do
he expected Office could evolve into its own platform !!!
excellent point
Office vs Windows (gotta love it)

R.Edwards: "dont go too far"
the point is not to abuse power, to leverage success illegally thru mafia tactics in order to gain foothold in new markets

I fully expect Qualcomm to be targeted for dominance
maybe in year 2005
movement against QCOM would accelerate only if felonious business practices are utilized
the key is NOT to abuse power, to compete in new areas fairly

Intel is not in court, remember that
well actually they have been once or twice
they illegally withheld info, and changed their practices

Daisy: when Gates abdicated CEO post last month, clear message
"breakup of MSFT is a fait accompli"

JW -

Between JDSU and QCOM I hope that Q gets to 200 first, but I think that JDSU may beat them.

Another stock that I think will beat them both is CREE. This stock traded as low as $83 just 11 days ago and has climbed back up over $145 already! Thanks to UW for bringing this stock to my attention. Wish I would have had the guts to buy more 11 days ago. :-)

I am looking forward to meeting you in Atlanta. This shindig should be a real hoot!
