Bob, Bob, Bob. Really: And, you have no concept of how strong some of us value freedom. This was not just a custody case. This was an attempt, made by freedom loving Americans, to bring a family out of Castro's tyranny.

I see how much you value freedom all right. You ideologues value freedom at the cost of ripping a child from its only living/loving parent. Nothing less than this will slake the fire in your loins to impose your concept of freedom on this little boy and his father from Cuba. Alas, it is indeed a custody case. A custody case that should by all rights be decided in Cuban Family court.

The only attempt that has been made here is not to bring a family to freedom, rather it has been to take a child from his father who has not acted to seek asylum in the US. Horror of all horrors impossible as it may seem, the man may be happy there. But I think your view of stereotypical Cuba does not permit you to allow that there may actually be someone there besides Fidel who is happy to live in Cuba.
