Jeff: I contend that the results prior to 1989 (when Soros quit running the fund himself) were even better. After all, it took MAGNIFICENT returns to get the fund up to that size in the first place, no?

I believe there's a section on Soros in the book "Market Wizards" by Jack Schweiger, I'll have to find it (which will take a while, it's in storage now) to see if there are any references to his returns.

thanks...well, so he made over 30% annually from '89 onward. i'd like to see the fund's performance from inception in '69. i think it was even better of the longer term if i remember the article in Barron's correctly.
