Microsft did put more and more features into their products that benefit the consumers. Personally, I like IE more than Netscape. It came with the split windows where you can search and read at the same windows instead of having to flip back and forth between windows. That is a good thing. Of course, bundle IE with WIn98 is something I would not say perfect for product integration. But is that is an important issue this trial is about, why not ask Microsoft separate them, no big deal. We all run into problems trying to make our products inter-op with others. I would highly doubt that Microsoft has the criminal mind when doing this. Come on lawyers, we are in the highly competitive high tech market, beating our competitors in any ways is one of the ultimate goal of staying in the business. The ultimate result of being a failure is being forced out of the business. That's the beauty of this game. I can imagine that any companies including Oracle and Sun, they probably will do the same thing if in Microsoft's position. The important thing here is that the government has not been appreciating the long and hard PROCESSES that took Microsoft to get to today's point, it is not though some illegal practices but all through thousands thousands of engineers' hard work. To take away these achievements so simply by some irrellavent lawyers' BS maybe to hard for all the engineers to accept. I think the high court will eventually throw out the entire case. I agree we need to enforce some policies to ensure the fair competitiveness in the business markets, but the proposal by the government is just way too much and also outrageous.

The funny thing is that the government lawyers ask Microsoft to come up with a plan on how to break it up.
Don't they have any ideas themselves ?

This country just have too much bullshit. Look at that Cuban boy's case, I am especially outrageous about it. What the hell they are brining in more friends and teacher from Cuba to play with him ? At my tax dollar??? Give me a break, United States should fly both him and his father out of the country the very next day after INS took him. Just too many bullshit!!!
