Look at the "consumer" version. Not the professional version
The price is less. For now.

I bet even the consumer version will head towards $200
soon. Windows will probably come with only edit.exe. Or,
better yet, some implmentation of ed/vi. Consumers could
first download a gcc then emacs and then build. May be
not as dramatic, but the goal is clear.

I wish DOJ had proposed splitting MSFT into 3 identical
companies. Imagine the mayhem ;-) Does sprintf() return
a pointer or a character count <g>

Looking forward to it. IMHO computer consultants will
make tons of money.

Windows 2000 (NT 5) naturally costs more than Win98, it's for networks and it's a lot better than Win98. I'm using it and it hasn't crashed on me once!!
