All these things are in fact pretty simple. We are talking about graphical applications, which means some kind of twodimensional display operated with a mouse and a keyboard. There are so many ways to do this, and many simple database applications are today translated into interactive web-sites.

There will be more and more types of applications, that can be translated into webbrowser-friendly technologies, and the latest I've seen is Citrix's own NFuse, that runs as Java on Linux. It is fun to see how Microsoft Office 2000 runs on Linux.

What Citrix does, however, is to add performance and a lot of features that competing technologies don't have, and most important of all, they provide a complete solution to a customers' problems.

Windows applications will be around for a very long time!!
