Casaubon :) Perhaps. I was thinking that we were seeing a sea change in attitudes from the 'professionals'. All of a sudden valuations mattered again; dot.com's running out of cash are a warning; venture capital is not as robust as it was -- just seem like signs that this dip is not like the rest. My personal opinion is that inflation and new era thinking will switch places on most peoples lips, still waiting for the 'what were we thinking' specials to be on TV! In the meantime, I buy the bounces and not the plunges, but since we are in a longer term down trend, I'm always looking for a good spot to position shorts. Cheers mw
