I've pretty much convinced myself that the high TICK and TRIN from yest close was low volume related from looking at various stock and option volumes.

w/ such low vols I guess it's not too hard to manipulate stocks in one direction or the other.

a great low volume example is MSFT... it traded just a tad less than it's 3mo ave. even if the after-the-mkt-close news was a dud, it still should have produced some extra volume trades... and it probably did

Without looking into the details, Soros' funds are hedge funds, in other words, probably highly leveraged.. If that was the case, waiting for a recovery is a luxury the fund cannot afford, just like your average individual investor who is margined to the hilt. A month ago, Tiger funds, a value oriented fund that folded just about when value stocks stated a rebound.. Staying power is still important and that is only possible I think if you are not playing with other people's money... FWIW...
