This is a very American thing. Brits don't get it.

Actually, they do - there was this man Parkinson who wrote
a few books during the 60s. One was "In-Laws And Outlaws"
where there is a whole scenario of a school budget meeting
and how quickly they fix on a $100K+ bike shed and how they
fret over the coffee procurement.I am also sure if he were
to write today he'll get sued a dozen times for a variety
of offenses.

MSFT. I think all bad news has been factored in. But the
new stuff is not all bad. First you need to filter out the
adjectives. May be I feel that way since I have already
laid my bets...

I remember when the "nerdy" people around me were using computers and I couldn't because I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make them run.
Then came Windows 95.
No wonder people lined up around the block at store after store to have W95 on their computer first day possible.
