SuperSOES(SS) - a few thoughts: SS will greatly simplify execution and eliminate need for the decision as to what route to use. Simply if u have a market order you will hit SS. If you have a limit order you will post via ECN. SS will enable those national discount firms that wish to offer direct order entry a simplified system for the "average" clients. SS will make execution a pure commodity and result in online brokerages concentrating on other services to attract clientele( real time data, analysis software, customer support, tax preparation etc.) SS will motivate the national discount firms to buy out the remaining daytrading firms with direct order entry technology.
