The principles of law that get decided in this case will not be meaningless.

It is meaningless to speculate on the good character of people about whom one knows relatively little. If that's what you meant then I agree with you.

It's not meaningless. The ballads haven't been written yet.

The kid survived two days at sea in shark infested waters, watched his mother die, then was put through the ugly situation we saw last week, and he's not even seven years old yet. This kid will be a tough little booger, whatever happens.
