George Gilder predicted this decline and MSFT's progressive technological irrelevance 5 years ago. ...

Those who followed this 'prophet' five years ago could have sold their stock at $9.75, the closing price of Microsoft on April 21, 1995. Those who disregarded his advice and purchased would be sitting on a $60 gain today.

If you're about to quote someone, why choose a loser?

Cheers, PW.

Not only have you chosen to follow a loser as PMS WITCH has stated but you further choose to follow the non-creative victorious leeching government cry babies who continuously have proclaimed product superiority while crying that MSFT was an unfair monopoly.

They -and I suppose you, still have not figured out it was MSFT all along who became a legitimate monopoly through superior competitive knowledge by knowing what the masses really wanted, needed and then supplied it to them.

If you had any sense of fairness you would realize that the government's misconduct is indeed at fault here.

I'll accept big business over bloated fat cat lazy leeching government officials any day any time and where. There is nothing more annoying to me than seeing a lying cheating government official falsely using my status -consumer interest, to get their crooked ways passed.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Have you ever seen such poor management by a major corporation as that exhibited by MSFT? It appears that there is simply no management regard for shareholder value whatsoever. What possibly can MSFT gain by "blatant" snubbing of DOJ.
One thing is quite evident from this entire affair. SUNW is managed so much better than MSFT it is just a matter of time before their market cap eclipse's MSFT. GO SUNW!
