Thanks rrufff, you will find me on SI for the indefinite future unless Bob decides I am too much of a pain in the butt. But I have made it 3 years without getting the boot so I am probably safe. A few more months and I will dump my current day job and work in the stock world full-time.

I don't think it is up to SI to get into SEC rule enforcement over posts. The courts have been clear that forum providers are not responsible for content, which makes sense since we have other government agencies to handle that.

But imagine how much improper behavior you would have if every post was tied to a name from a credit card. Not perfect, but much much much harder to do exactly the things you are worried about.
