that's dumb. one of the purposes of the system should be to let you "collect" great posts you come across...

You've probably already gotten a repsonse, but my solution to your problem is so simple that I wonder if I understand your problem. I use bookmarks to save posts. Instead of bookmarking them, you can also save them to a file on your hard disk. Hope this solves your dilemma.
