I'm not sure. This protection of music copywrite was an issue back when tape decks came around, and it is still an issue. In those days they talked about taxing blank tapes. CD copying devices are easy to get ahold of, and soon, PCs will have standard rewritable CDs instead of Zips. Copying is not going away, the quality will get better. MP3 (or a descendant) will be back in some incarnation. I agree however, one should not buy in until they are sure that at least the company is not chapter 11. Anyone have an idea of who will be the next MP3 if they do tank to zero?
