The question really is "... what is diverging from what?" Any time you have an indicator making higher highs where the underlying stock or index is flat or down, you have postive divergence by the indicator and negative divergence by the stock or index. And vice versa for lower lows in the indicator vs flat or higher moves by the stock or index. Depend on what you trust. I have never been into volume itself... only through PV and OBV and ACC/DIST.
