Spirit, Goldman Sachs downgraded the best retailers today. . .across the board. . .claiming that the quarter point higher interest rates will lead to a decrease in spending by consumers.

Yeah, right. Uh. . .huh. . .like we really believe Goldman Sachs.

In my opinion, this may just be the contrarian indicator that we have been seeking in retailers. . . the big selloffs they are getting today, may just trigger buying in this sector. . .or even a V-bottom in some.

Value Investors definitely want to keep an eye on retailers today. . . Some great ones that were singled out include TJX [TJMaxx a great store for value shoppers]. . .SKS [Saks]. . .ANF [Abercrombie & Fitch]. . . ROST [Ross Stores].. .

While on the subject, LTD [Limited] and their subsidiary, IBI [Intimate Brands] are both splitting 2-for-1.
