I set initial stops 10-20% above my entry point. Once the position is profitable, I usually look for an intraday high from the previous day or the day before that and mark that as a breakout point. So my new stop goes in there to protect profits.

I am a cautious trader overall. My approach will never produce a 2000% return in one year, but it isn't designed for that.

OTOH, I sleep like a baby with the positions I play.
