Mike,

Corel is in the process of porting every Windows app they have to Linux. I believe they just worked Corel Draw for Linux to a Beta release. Will that do?

Maybe, if Corel doesn't run out of money before Corel Draw, or other apps make it out of beta.

I am not convinced that any of the linux companies have a viable business model. Both RHAT and COR.TO are trading 15% to 17% of their 52 week high. For every dollar of RHAT sales, they spend $1.65, and all this while they don't pay anything for the cost of development of their product.

Just try to think of the profitability of RHAT if they had to pay $50 to $100 per man-hour of millions of hours of programming time (it took to write Linux).

I don't know enough about Corel, but try to subtract revenues of Corel Draw (the PC product) and then consider their viability.

Joe
