Elllk: Bottom line on the whole Gilder/Mudge thing is Gilder is great at the big picture stuff but often skips or glosses over key details re the companies he recommends in GTR; mostly errors of omission is my guess. Shame on him for not nailing down some of the (often important) facts. Even greater shame on those of us not doing OUR OWN due diligence. Pat Mudge, OTOH, is an ace researcher and a detail hound of the first order. She can spot flim-flam from a mile away, and asks the key "must answer" questions right from the get-go. Combine each of their basic attributes and you have a great model for successful investing.
