Nobody knows where all this msft legal stuff is going. This is entirely without precedent, and stick your thumb in the stupid eyes of anyone who wants to tell you about the AT&T break-up.

One thing you can bank on: none of it will be good for msft. Ignore the superficial reassurances of the analysts (who are just trying to help the stock so their employers can sell their remaining holdings) and the media.

MSFT will be looking over their shoulders for years to come, and the sec and Justice will be glaring back at them. MSFT's best and brightest (those still left) will leave as creativity and risk-taking are stifled, and what then?
