Have followed the FC SAN Digital video connection for some time. The Media100 NLEs are Mac based. There are strong rumors that Apple and CUBE are going to partner to give Apple leverage back into the video computing markets. PS uncompressed HD video cannot run on the 1G spec, but 2G is a different story. Again the video arena is the first place where this will be needed? If Apple gets back into digital video will they need FC switches or will they try for some 1394 products? Staying tuned in these FC seats that are starting to be comfortable again after someone put some more tacks on them.
