hdrjr, I work 1/2 in the oil & gas industry and 1/2 in the power industry for both generators and consumers....And I'll stick my neck out again and say if we start heating up here in May, then gas prices may jump to $4.00/mcf this summer...

Part of this though has to do with the power industry as much as the oil & gas industry...

Restrictive environmental regulations have essentially blocked the ability of the the power industry to build new generation units...And the new merchant class natural gas power plants are largely still on the drawing boards...

As a result a lot of our power infrastucture in the US is 30,40, and 50 years old- a bit creaking and not fully reliable when you really give it a good yank...

So a hot summer may put the whole system to a test- and push natural gas prices higher too....
