The registration of shares does not equal the sale of shares...most companies require that insiders register shares well in advance of their actual sales..I will attempt to get AMD's policy from its IR Dept....the mere registration of shares, nor the sale of a few of them never concerns me in high tech as it is a generally accepted form of compensation...much ado about nothing most likely.

I don't think because they file that that means they will actually sell....I think they file in case they decide to want to sell at some time in the future.

However if he is closing out his position for real, it may be because he thinks he's about to be canned. Isn't he the head of production and planning?
