Thanks to all for the Apple a day. Unless I'm mistaken it is not much of a problem to add a Mac to a network that is primarily PC based. I really want her to go with the iBook but she seems to want the desktop model with the various video capabilities. I'm still looking into it. We went to Sears* today to get a good look and I found that there are only about 3 models and everything seemed pretty easy to understand. Older models of the desktop can be had for cheap. They also had something called "airPort" which allowed you to network all machines through a wireless device and share NET access as well as other things. Really cool if it works. I know wireless headphones suck and I don;t expect much more than that.

*It's amazing that Sears has stayed in business all these years. THe incompetence and total confusion throughout the store is something to behold. WHen you can find an employee, which is rare, they can barely......
