Jack-On Gilder and Procom
I'm long Procom because of the GTR November issue. I was encouraged that he included Procom in his "Noggin Nine" and hope that he writes more about it in one of his upcoming reports. He has mentioned Procom several times as well as his intention to write more about the storewidth paradigm and adding companies from this area to his list. I have a feeling he wants to revisit the company and talk more with the Procom people.

Internal good news External bad news

Numbers were great on PRCM, once you forgave them for the decrease in sales year over year due to their product transition. Today we may have been the victem of bad timing. Hewlett Packard, PRCM close comrade in the NAS market got hurt today, along with many of the Hardware makers. What was worse is NTAP, which is PRCM's main competitor, eluded to a Linux supporting product to be discused at an upcoming trade show. So the one place where PRCM had bragging rights may soon evaporate. I hope the Analysts following PRCM don't take too long mulling over their quarterly numbers before publishing a positive opinion, because any prolonged silence out of them may leave PRCM to adrift lower. Those looking for a short covering spike today were dissapointed as most shorts were already covered 2 days ago. Today was a day for new Longs, yet not enough were attracted to undo the rumor mongering shorts damage from the past few weeks. *sigh*
