Thanks DWK. You always have good info.

I haven't heard any ex-anti-trust officials, or current anti-trust scholars say that the breakup will actually happen. It's ridiculous in its assumptions. There will be a settlement, or Microsoft will win on appeal.

It's sad to see the DOJ do what they are doing. A settlement could have been easily agreed upon, but the 19 states wouldn't have any part of it.

I can see an anti-trust lawsuit happening again. Intel is the closest example that I can currently think of - and they have already taken care of business with the DOJ. The next anti-trust case will probably be in an industry that doesn't even exist right now! Innovator's Dilemma is an excellent book, and really highlights what can happen with an innovative technology.

Intel has really espoused the lessons learned in Innovator's Dilemma.

I'll always put my money on Bill and Steve. Living in the Pacific NW before, I studied their every move. I know more about the two than I do my own family members! Sad but true. They are brilliant.

Just my opinion,

Respectfully, advalorem
