Just another factoid on the trail. We are none of us innocent or devoid of need for improvement. That report mentions three or four murders of guatemalan mayas across the border in M‚xico, well i know for a fact there were many more. The places i have lived in Chiapas were all near the Usamacinta which forms for part of its length the Guat/M‚x border, and through one area alone fled many thousands of mayas pursued by the guatemalan army. For that reason the mexican army built and maintains at great cost a road now just inside the border, in which they cruise back and forth in Humvees. Of course this is part of their justification for opportunites of a little maya-suppression of their own as well. So don't feel alone, for a minute.

And actually, right now signs are that things are going to Guatemejor -g-
Although time will tell, as always.
