BCE/NT spin-off: -
BCE (Bell Canada) will spin off most of its ownership of NT (nortel Networks) to shareholders this week.
biz.yahoo.com BCE is curently 114 and NT is 112. BCE shareholders will get .785 shares of
NT, which is worth about $88/share in BCE. BCE will start trading ex-NT shares, and should be about $26/share. This could be an
incredible value, as BCE has huge assets other than NT. Be careful buying BCE in taxable account, as the spin-off is taxable to US
shareholders. Larry
