I have been saying the same thing for a long time - well before PIII shortage situation developed. There is not much hindsight involved here.

Sam, some wise people say luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. AMD wasn't lucky this time.

Ramping from 0 to 1.2Mu/quarter in one year is hardly aggressive in my book. One can compare this with CuMine and Wilamette over time (adjust data for AMD's market share) and see the discrepancy.
