Maybe Naz volumes won't decline at all this summer... ...I figure they will decline a bit, and if all they go down is 6% that's peanuts compared to last year. All the excuses for avoiding the olbs last year will be washed away...and probably in the fall they will pick up even higher and we will get to 2 billion+ average days. We have apparently entered yet another new level of market size, at least in terms of activity. And even if ETrade gets some lousy rankings or has funded, inadvertently or otherwise, good reports from Gomez and the like, it is true that the acquisition numbers are top of the line for now, and that's what counts. They have the best technology platform in place for dealing with the migration to individual investing on a global scale. Plenty of time to improve the service as they go, I think...and plenty of money, too.
