Bapco's SYSmark is a highly regarded and apolitical test suite that is widely reported. bapco.com
If a third party test house does a platform comparison using SYSmark , (and publicizes the platform set-ups), should the results be questioned?
Unfortunately they are. Which says a lot about the credibility of benchmarks.

If the industry doesn't do something about it, B/M's will soon be viewed much like politicians posturing, or commercials.
